Shortly after the first series of J&F aired in Australia, a deal was struck to sell the series to the BBC.

This marked Johnson's first sale overseas, and the series proved to be quite a success.

 

The second and third series were also sold to the BBC, although Crying Wolf (S2, E21) was never broadcast, and half of the third series didn't air until 1997, while the first half aired in 1995.

Johnson was also broadcast on The Children's Channel and Tiny Living.
