The Music Of Johnson

Unlike international children's programming, the soundtrack of Johnson wasn't overly drenched with music. There was the theme tune and occasionally several original songs and incidental themes. Well-known composer Chris Neal was responsible for writing, composing and arranging the music for Johnson and Friends, and after the success of the first two seasons, an original soundtrack album was to be produced. "An Afternoon With Johnson & Friends" was released in 1992 on CD and cassette, featuring the timeless theme tune and 11 original songs composed by Chris, with lyrics by screenwriter John Patterson and vocals by the actors of the TV series. An additional track on the album, "The Diesel Rap" was composed by Chris' son, Braedy, who later went on to co-compose the fourth series of J&F with his father.
